Gamblin Shines at Under Armour All-American Game

UMass-bound Sachem alum did well in face off circle and scored opening goal.

Though Sachem North alum Brandon Gamblin scored five seconds into the Under Armour All-American game after winning the opening face off, the early momentum didn't help the North team later on in a tight, 11-9, loss at Towson University Saturday evening.

Gamblin, who was the only player on the North team with two points, finished with a goal and an assist and won six of the 12 face offs he took.

For a brief time while North was on a roll, Gamblin was in contention for MVP honors. He was a vibrant asset to his group during the contest.

This is just the second time the South team has won in the six years the game has been played.

Gamblin is Sachem's first player to perform in this contest. The transfer from Hicksville was second in scoring on Sachem North's roster in 2011 with 50 goals.
