Some photos of last Friday's game between Sachem North and Northport at Fred Fusaro Stadium.

The Sachem North Varsity Football team hosted the Armed Forces "Great American Rivalry Game" on Friday, Oct. 4 and defeated the Northport Tigers 34-20.

Running back Malik Pierre carried the ball for 200 yards and had three touchdowns, earning the game's MVP Award.

"It's nice to win it, but I wouldn't have done it without my teammates," Pierre said after the game. The Arrows offensive line created holes all night for Pierre to gobble up yardage, including a 50-yard scramble that iced the game for Sachem North.

For winning the Great American Rivalry game, Sachem North received a glass trophy and commemorative hats to mark the victory. North has participated and won the Great American Rivalry game four times. The team is now 4-0 on the season, with homecoming scheduled for this week against Commack, also 4-0.
