Considering Sachem East girls basketball will make a run at another state title and has played through its 2011-12 schedule with ease so far, it only makes sense that one of its star players graced the cover of MSG Varsity The Magazine for their winter edition.
Kathleen Everson, one of Sachem's top players this season, had the honor of being on the cover, representing Sachem and Long Island very well.
The issue, available in its entirety on the MSG Varsity app, features four Long Island athletes from the current sports season who are making a difference within their school communities.
Sachem East already clinched a League I title this season and will have the No. 1 seed in the playoffs if all things go accordingly.
