Knicks to Host Camp in Eastern Long Island

The New York Knicks Summer Basketball Camp, presented by Under Armour and Powerade, returns for a 20th summer of providing children with a structured basketball learning experience, focused on teamwork and personal development. The camp will come to East Hampton.

The schedule is as follows: 

  • Aug. 24-26: Ross School, East Hampton ... 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Aug. 29-31: Ross School, East Hampton, NY... 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Through the Knicks Summer Basketball Camp sessions boys and girls ages 8 to 18 will sharpen their dribbling, shooting and defensive skills, learn new plays and make new friends while meeting Knicks alumni and former NBA players. Each camper will receive a Knicks camp uniform: shorts and a reversible mesh tank top provided by Under Armour, unlimited Powerade, a ticket to a Knicks and Liberty game and the opportunity to win trophies and Knicks prizes.

In honor of its 20th anniversary the camp will pay tribute to the Knicks history with guest appearances by former Knicks and NBA players.  In the past, the Knicks Summer Basketball Camp featured appearances by Knicks alumni: Dick Barnett, Walt “Clyde” Frazier, Allan Houston, Bernard King, Earl Monroe, Willis Reed, John Starks, Herb Williams, Greg Anthony, Mark Jackson, Larry Johnson, Johnny Newman, Cal Ramsey, Charles Smith and Kenny Walker.

“In its 20th season, the Knicks Summer Basketball camp continues to provide our young fans and aspiring players with a great foundation,” Knicks legend and current alumni relations and fan development advisor John Starks said in a statement. “This summer, we look forward to sharing our rich tradition with the future of the game.”
