Kristen Doherty hasn't finished playing high school basketball just yet. Saturday afternoon she'll represent Sachem East in the WBCA All-America game in San Antonio.
Doherty, who is headed to Boston College next year, is one of 20 girls selected for the prestigious all-star game. North Babylon's Bria Hartley will also be playing alongside Doherty, who just finished her Sachem basketball season last week when the girls lost to Christ the King in the New York State Federation title game in Glens Falls, N.Y.
East won the NYSPHSAA Class AA title the week before, beating Shenendehowa.
