Delaney All-Conference at Albany

Sachem East alum continues to inspire.

Sachem East alum Eddie Delaney was named All-NEC for the second consecutive year.

The 6-foot-6 Holtsville native is one of the top defensive ends in the Northeast Conference at Albany. 

Delaney, who has 111 career tackles, has been a consistent performer despite being born without a left hand and wearing an insulin pump to control diabetes.

At Sachem he  was an All-Suffolk County defensive end as a senior and totaled 76 tackles, 11 sacks, five forced fumbles and three blocked kicks. 

Albany (6-5, NEC 4-4) established a program record with its fifth consecutive winning season and head coach Bob Ford is the career active leader among Division I FCS coaches with 247 victories.

Defensive tackle Trevor Anderson joined Andre Coleman (2005, 2006), Michael Dungey (2006, 2007) and Sachem alum Tom Pandolf (2007, 2008) as the lone Albany defensive linemen to earn first-team All-NEC recognition twice.
