The Sachem East Field Hockey Team got its moment in the spotlight last week during the halftime show at the Sachem East vs. North Boys Basketball game. The girls stood in center court while Athletic Director Pete Blieberg unfolded the 2012 New York State Championship banner, which now hangs proudly beside the 2011 championship banner.
The girls went undeafeated this year en route to their second consecutive state crown. Each player was individually recognized for this stunning accomplishment. Click on the video to watch the banner drop.
