The final minute of the Girls Basketball team's 57-49 victory over North Babylon to win the Class AA Championship.
The Sachem East Girls Varsity Basketball team won their second Suffolk County Class AA championship in four years after defeating the North Babylon Bulldogs 57-49 on Tuesday.
The team relied on the leadership and scoring of Katie Doherty and Emily Carmel, while the entire team contributed to a stiff defense and big shots when they were needed.
