The Sachem East Girls Varsity Basketball team won their second Suffolk County Class AA championship in four years after defeating the North Babylon Bulldogs 57-49 on Tuesday.
The team relied on the leadership and scoring of Katie Doherty and Emily Carmel, while the entire team contributed to a stiff defense and big shots when they were needed.
