Staff Changes, Assessment Results on Sachem BOE Agenda

The appointments, terminations and resignations of several Sachem Central School District employees and a presentation of assessment results are on the agenda for Wednesday’s Sachem Central School District Board of Education (BOE) meeting.

According to the agenda posted on the school district’s website, listed under the consent agenda are a leave of absence of a teacher, probationary appointments of teaching personnel, leave replacements of appointments of teaching personnel, salary changes for teaching personnel, termination/resignation of several substitute teachers, retirement of one teacher, resignation of a teaching assistant/interpreter, resignation of support services personnel, as well as several other bullets for appointments or resignations. The names of the affected staff members are printed directly onto the agenda.

A presentation of assessment results is listed to take place after visitors address the Board and before the Business Items.

Also listed on the agenda under business items are bids for printer parts/ink and toner, printers, trophies, musical instrument repair, concrete extension collars and concrete covers, asphalt-hot and cold patch as listed to be presented for action with a required action to approve. Bids for metal ductwork fabrication, and tree trimming and removal services are listed as to be presented for action with a required action to reject.

The agenda additionally includes several other agreement approvals, coaching assignments, monthly reports and setting of 2013-2014 goals for the BOE.

Wednesday’s meeting is taking place at Samoset Middle School, 51 School Street, Lake Ronkonkoma at 7:30 p.m. in the BOE Room.
