Editor's Note: It was earlier erroneously reported that there were six players on Sachem named to this exclusive list. In fact, there were only five. We regret the error.
The New York State Sportswriters Association released its 2012 All-State Team and named five Sachem players to its roster.
The All-State Team recognizes top football players from all over New York State, by creating first to fourth team rosters on both offense and defense. Sachem East running back and Hansen Award winner Steven Casali made the first team as a defensive player. Sachem North lineman Steve Mills earned a spot on the fourth team defense.
