Section XI Lays Out Plan for HS Sports

Section XI, the organization that governs high school sports, has posted its plans to get the fall playoffs back on track.

According to The Sachem Report's Chris Vaccaro, who is also Sachem School District's PR Director, Athletic Director Pete Blieberg said officials met on Friday and determined the following information.

Football

Sachem North will host Bay Shore on Friday, November 9 at 7 p.m. at Fred Fusaro Alumni Stadium.

Sachem East travels to Northport on Saturday, November 10 at 2 p.m.

Field Hockey

Sachem East, which earned a first-round bye, will host the winner of Comsewogue-West Islip on November 8.

Boys Soccer

Sachem North will travel to Newfield for a first-round playoff game on Wednesday, November 7 at 2 p.m.

Sachem East will travel to Half Hollow Hills West for its first-round matchup also on Wednesday, November 7 at 2 p.m.

Girls Soccer

Sachem North girls soccer will travel to Ward Melville to play a second round Class AA playoff game on Thursday, November 8 at 2 p.m.

Cross Country

Sachem High School East will host the Suffolk County Championships on Wednesday, November 7 at 1 p.m.
