Sachem's Tobacco-Free Liaisons Honored

Attend breakfast Friday with Nassau County DA as keynote speaker.

The tobacco-free liaisons from the Sachem Central School District attended the Long Island Tobacco-Free Health Schools Recognition Breakfast Friday morning, which featured keynote speaker Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen M. Rice.

Also in attendance was New York State Senator Brian Foley's Chief of Staff Jim LaCarrubba, who is also a member of Sachem's board of education.

The liaisons have played an integral role in facilitating the development and implementation of strong district-wide tobacco policy. Also featured at the recognition breakfast was a Public Service Announcement anti-tobacco video created by three Health Education students from Sequoya Middle School.
