do u know if were going to have to make up these day at the end of the year or will they cut in to our vacation days?
Barbara Desposito October 31, 2012 at 06:59 PM
I'd use Saturday's to make up the five days so as not to cut into vacation time our prolong the school year

But that wouldn't be fair

There's a rumor that if days are lost due to a state of emergency, then we don't necessarily have to make them up. Thinking from a common sense perspective, if the entire state is having the same issues, I would think there would be some forgiveness. It's definitely a valid question, though, but I'm thinking that our vacations will remain at least mostly intact, if not fully.

I was told by a Sachem teacher yesterday that this absolutely will not affect school vacations.
