Sachem North Hosting Cheerleader For A Day Event

Coincides with homecoming on September 23.

The Sachem North varsity cheer team is hosting the Homecoming Cheerleader For A Day fundraiser on September 23.

A week prior to homecoming, all children grades K-6, will attend a three-hour clinic, learning cheers, stunts, dances, jumps, tumbling and games. They will also learn a special cheer to perform with the varsity team on the sidelines to open up the homecoming game.

It costs $30 and includes a tee shirt, bow, snacks, drinks, the clinic, and performance with the varsity team on that special night.

“It's an amazing community event and an experience all cheerleaders will never forget,” said Sachem cheer coach Nicole Roggemann.

Last week the cheer team rallied and performed at the Green Acres mall in Valley Stream to support Macy's shop for a cause campaign. On September 17 they will be volunteering and performing all day at the Contractors for Kids picnic at Southhaven Park.
