Sachem North Earns Rematch At Home Against Floyd

North's defense proves stingy, yeilding only one touchdown to the Marauders.

Sachem North defeated Bay Shore Friday night 24-7 in the first round of the Division I playoffs, earning a rematch of last year's Suffolk County Championship against William Floyd.

The Flaming Arrows took half of the first quarter before they scored for the first time, with a field goal by Bryan Morris.  By the end of the first quarter the team led 3-0 and never looked back.

The team added to their lead in the second quarter with a touchdown by Kevin Bragaglia, his first of two TDs on the night. Bryan Morris added the point after.

The final minutes wound down and Bay Shore was unable to catch up to the Flaming Arrows.

“I’m very excited for our guys,” said Sachem North head coach, David Falco.  “It’s about the great game and the difficult circumstances. The community is hurting after Hurricane Sandy.”

The team now looks forward to playing at home against fourth-seeded William Floyd. That game will take place on Friday night at 7 p.m.
