Sachem East Lax Player Commits to Play Division I

Junior attackman selects St. Johns University to play lacrosse, major in business.

Sachem East Varsity Attackman Jason DeBenedictis has committed to play college lacrosse for the Division I St. John's University Red Storm when he graduates in 2014.

According to LILacrosseNews.com, DeBenedictis has decided to major in business at the Queens-based University, because of his comfort level with the coaches, and the campus' proximity to home.

DeBenedictis was chosen as a Suffolk County All-Division player last year, and a Bluechip 225 All-Star for Sachem East. Speaking of his varsity squad's prospects this coming spring, DeBenedictis said "“We are going to be very good this year with a high powered offense and we hope to make a strong push for a Suffolk County Championship.”
