Sachem East Highlighted In National History Newsletter

Sachem High School East received a feature article in the Winter 2013 edition of the National History Club’s e-newsletter, after the school hosted an assembly with Werner Reich, a Holocaust survivor and guest speaker earlier this month.

The article (on page five in the attached PDF), outlined the extensive project work that East students partook in to discuss not only the Holocaust, but more general human rights issues.

"[The students'] moving and powerful presentation about survival were truly inspiring and especially relevant as they connected it to current issues of justice and bullying," the article reads. "Their community service is proof that student leaders exist at Sachem East."
