Sachem East Girls Lax Player Commits to Quinnipiac University

Kyle Larkin earns full scholarship to Northeast Conference school.

Sachem East Girl's Lacrosse Goalie Kyle Larkin has committed early to attend and play lacrosse for Quinnipiac University when she graduates in 2014. Larkin's play for the Flaming Arrows has earned her a full ride at the university, according to her coach.

Larkin, a junior at Sachem East, has been on the varsity squad since she stood between the pipes in her freshman year. She made the JV squad as an eighth-grader.

"Last year as a sophomore, she was our starting goalie and a major contributor to the team's success," said Coach Ali Bourgal. "She is an outstanding athlete and, more importantly, a wonderful kid."

According to Bourgal, Larkin was named an All-League player and the Fios MVP of a game last season, as she led Sachem East to a 7th-place finish in the league.

In 2011, Quinnipiac University captured its first Northeast Conference (NEC) championship by defeating Mount St. Mary's College 15-3. Quinnipiac is located in Hamden, Connecticut.
