Sachem East Boys Lacrosse Season Opens Today
Boys kick off 2013 season with scrimmage against Rocky Point High School.
The Sachem East Boys Lacrosse team will join its counterparts at Sachem North with kicking off its 2013 campaign today.
The Flaming Arrows of East will host a scrimmage match against Rocky Point High School as they look to fine tune their stick skills for the coming season.
Last year Sachem East went 9-5 in Division I, securing the No. 7 seed in the playoffs, but lost to 10th-seeded Half Hollow Hills East 13-6 in the opening round. Now they'll look to take closer steps and go deeper into the playoffs this year.

Section XI, the governing body that oversees school athletics in Suffolk County, released the 2013 schedule on its website. Sachem East will face a tough couple games down the stretch, with back-to-back contests against West Islip and Ward Melville. They'll also face a tough Bay Shore team in those final four games.
