Sachem Board of Education News & Notes

A recap of the events at this week's board of education work session.

During Wednesday's Sachem board of education work session, the board approved the district's recommendation for an agreement between McClave Construction Management and the school district to provide consulting services in connection with the review of the existing roofs at all schools.

McClave will inspect all roofs in the district, specifically at Tecumseh and Sachem North, which sustained mild damage after a recent storm, according to the district.

"This is for the board's protection to make sure it's done properly," said Bruce Singer, Sachem's Assistant Superintendent for Business. "You would want a professional on the roof to ensure the job is being done to protect the integrity of the building."
