Grundy students recite the 7 Habits with Adele parody "Rolling in the Deep."
At last night's Board of Education meeting, Grundy Avenue Elementary School students stood before a packed audience and recited the "7 Habits of Highly Effective People," an education initiative inspired by Stephen Covey. Using some creativity, however, the students, introduced by Patricia Trombetta and coached by other 4th-grade teachers, sang the "7 Habits" to the tune of Adele's hit song "Rolling in the Deep."
"We can have it all/With the Seven Habits," they sang, accompanied by choreography.
Written as an inspirational self-help book for business-minded people, "The 7 Habits'" message of leadership, positivity and proactive behavior has become an effective teaching tool for students and their academic habits.
