A photo essay of Saturday afternoon's dramatic victory that sent the Flaming Arrows to the county championship game.
At this point the entire Sachem community must know: Sachem East pulled off a dramatic and improbable victory over the Connetquot Thunderbirds at Connetquot High School on Saturday afternoon.
The game came down to the final seconds of the game, when Ryan Dippel made a leaping catch of Danny Wolff's pass and sent the sideline into immediate celebration. The Flaming Arrows came away with a 33-28 win and will face William Floyd in the Suffolk County Championship this coming Saturday at Stony Brook University.
