Last Friday, the Sachem East Flaming Arrows relied on the legs of running back Steve Casali, as he ground out 289 yards rushing and three touchdowns in a tough road victory against the Longwood Lions.
"He is one of the best kids I’ve ever been around,” Sachem East coach Mark Wojciechowski told The Sachem Report after the game. “Not just because he’s a great football player, he’s a great kid. When you challenge him, he steps up and he certainly stepped up tonight. He’s fun to watch when he gets around that corner or gets that little break.”
The game featured four lead-changes and at one point the Flaming Arrows trailed 10-0. The win puts the team at 3-2, with a tough game against Connetquot coming up this week. Browse the photo gallery for some highlights of the action.
