North Boys Lacrosse Players Selected To Elite Team

Will play for Suffolk County against Nassau County in Long Island Showcase

Seven members of the Sachem North Boys Lacrosse team have been chosen to play in a friendly competition aimed at highlighting the top talent in both Suffolk and Nassau counties.

The Long Island Showcase Rising Suffolk Teams is run by the Suffolk County Lacrosse Coaches Association in conjunction with Nassau's Coaches Association, according to Jason Mauro, North's head coach. It pits the top 20 Suffolk players against the top 20 Nassau players in an exhibition game, categorized according to grade levels 10-12.

"This event is a great tool for recruiting as we are expecting between 50 and 100 college coaches on the sideline," Mauro stated in an email.
