Nokomis Volunteers Have Record Toy Drive
Leaders Club collects record-setting amount of toys for holiday giveaway.
The Nokomis Elementary School Leaders Club surpassed its number from last year, collecting more than 345 items as part of its yearly Holiday Toy Drive.
The Leaders Club is comprised of fifth graders, selected for their leadership qualities, that run volunteer events such as the Toy Drive throughout the course of the school year. Toys collected during the holidays are distributed to families in need.
