Nokomis Students Collect Hundreds of Toys
Donate items as part of massive drive at Sachem North.
Students at Nokomis Elementary School in Holbrook, N.Y. collected more than 330 toys for a holiday toy drive the school held last week.
Led by the fifth grade leaders club, the students worked hard to collect as many items as possible. They were eventually shipped off to Sachem High School North for a larger toy drive being run there.
Students expressed great enthusiasm towards the drive this year, competing with one another, hoping to get their name on the donation wall and one even dressed up like Santa on Friday for the final day of collection.
