Muratore Helping Raise School Supplies

To donate, drop off items at his Selden office.

Suffolk County Legis. Tom Muratore, R, Ronkonkoma, recently announced that his office will be collecting school supplies for children in the Sachem Central School District who are in need this coming school year. 

Muratore’s office has joined with Sachem to collect supplies for the Good Start Back to School Supply Drive at his office before Thursday, Sept. 1. 

Items needed include but are not limited to: pens, pencils, colored pencils, markers, notebooks, loose leaf paper, glue sticks, erasers, index cards, rulers, scissors, backpacks and lunch boxes.

“I am so glad to be able to help out the students in Middle Country and Sachem Schools.  I want every child to be able to begin the school year with the supplies that are needed for them to have a successful school year,” said Muratore in a statement.

“Education is so important," he continued. "During these tough economic times, while you are shopping for your children’s school supplies please remember those less fortunate and pick up some extra things for the Good Start Back to School Supply Drive.

Muratore’s office is located at 325 Middle Country Road, Suite 3 (in the Selden Plaza) in Selden for supply drop-off Monday thru Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
