Merrimac Hosts Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser
Elementary school donates over $1,300 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Last week Merrimac Elementary School hosted a breast cancer awareness fundraiser and raised more than $1,350 to donate to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, according to building principal Veronica DeCicco.
One Merrimac parent – Mrs. Poltie – donated her time and over 100 pink hair extensions to support the cause. Her son Brandon is a fifth grader in Renee Richter’s class.
