LRCO Offering Scholarship to Area Student
$500 scholarship will be given based on requirements via essay and interview.
The Lake Ronkonkoma Civic Organization announced this week that it will be offering a $500 scholarship to any January or June 2012 graduating senior who intends to go on to college and lives within the Lake Ronkonkoma Civic Organization boundaries.
The application and activities verification packet can be picked up in the Sachem High School North Guidance Office or the Teen Desk at the Sachem Public Library.
A 500-word essay is required, and contents, correct formatting, and grammar will be counted. Outstanding finalists will be invited to appear for an interview.

The essay should include details of any volunteer work taken part in as well as Lake Ronkonkoma community activities participated in over the years.
All completed packets should be mailed to: Patricia Duffield, Chair/ Lake Ronkonkoma Civic Organization Scholarship Committee/ P.O. Box 2916/ Lake Ronkonkoma, NY 11779, or can be returned to Mrs. Farber, Sachem High School North Guidance Department.
