Jeff Stone Memorial Run Takes Place Today

Annual cross-country tradition takes place at Sachem East's course on Columbus Day.

Sachem is holding its 21st Annual Jeff Stone Memorial Run today at the cross-country course at Sachem High School East.

Named after a pioneer in Sachem's cross-country program, the annual run is open to all Sachem district residents and children of Sachem staff members ages K-8th grade.

The run begins at 11 a.m., and the course varies, from a 400 meter "fun run" to a 1-mile trek around the fields and wooded areas of Sachem East's campus.

In order to participate, all runners must check in this morning at the gym lobby at Sachem East at 10 a.m. Registration forms can be downloaded and printed out here.
