Gatelot Elementary To Observe Purple Day

Elementary students plan to wear purple for epilepsy awareness.

Students at Gatelot Elementary School have planned a day to raise awareness and show support for suffferers of epilepsy.

March 26 is National Purple Day for Epilepsy, a U.S. movement to help raise funds and foster understanding of the condition that affects 65 million people worldwide.

Since student will not be in class on March 26, however, the students at Gatelot are encouraging everyone to come to school wearing purple this coming Friday, March 22.

In addition, the students will be collecting any spare change participants can part with. The collection will be donated to The Anita Kaufman Foundation.
