Sachem North Fathers’ Club Car Show

Join the Sachem North Fathers’ Club on Sunday May 15, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sachem North High School for their annual Family Day & Car Show.

This year’s theme is “Souped up for Soldiers” and in this spirit they will be honoring members from every branch of the military and local veterans by unveiling a memorial garden the high school students have been working on since September.

This event will also serve as the major fundraiser for high school senior scholarships. Former student and local community organizer, Doug Smith, 20 enthusiastically expressed his support for this event.

“This is going to be a great day," he said. "How often do we come together as a community to honor our men and women in uniform, send students to college, and promote family values? Fantastic.”

The Fathers’ Club expects that there will be a high turnout, as car buffs from across Long Island come together to share in the fun, and compete for the top prize and bragging rights. This should prove to be an excellent mix of fun and charity. Rain date is set for May 22.
