Connetquot River State Park Preserve:Wednesday, June 8, 7:00pm: Learn about the wonders of Connetquot River State Park Preserve in Oakdale, which maintains 3,473 acres of land and water for the protection of game birds, fish, and animals, as well as 50 miles of hiking, horseback riding, cross-country ski, and nature trails. Environmental educators will present a talk on the history of the preserve, and discuss the range of programs offered to the public. Hear about fly-fishing in the preserve, and enjoy a slideshow featuring its wildlife inhabitants.
