- Here is their story..The Mosca's third daughter,Brenna was born with many medical problems..The most immediate was a hole in her heart causing constant heart failure.She was also born with 1 kidney and 2 uteruses.Within the first 6 months of her life,The Mosca's exceeded medical limitations and are now personally resposible for most medical procedures.During this time they exhausted every bit of their finances.
- Their story continues....The Mosca's middle daughter , Brookelle incurred a rare Taylor Dome fracture to her ankle during a middle school basketball practice.She missed 2 months of school and was in a cast for 1 year.Surgery is still needed to replace and repair cartilage but this has been pushed aside due to ongoing treatment for her younger sister.
- More tragedy.....In April of 2011, The Mosca's oldest daughter,Breece was struck by an SUV traveling 55 mph while trying to cross Middle Country road outside Smithhaven Mall.She was rushed to Stonybrook Hospital not breathing and given a 1% survival rate.Breece was in for the fight of her life.Numerous injuries had to be contended with; most urgently Breece's aorta was partially torn away from her heart and chest wall .She had a broken femur,severed arteries in her leg and broken ribs.Her liver,spleen and kidneys were damaged and she had severe road rash and trauma.Truly a miracle,Breece survived but her life has been changed forever.Breece has already undergone 16 surgeries and will have to undergo additional surgeries..
- Now.....their story changes with the help of the Sachem Community !!!!!!
