BOE Meeting: Gatelot was Topic of Discussion

Meeting attendees came to show support for teachers in question.

A large portion of audience members at Tuesday night's Sachem Central School District's board of education meeting were teachers and parents from the Grundy Avenue Elementary School. They were voicing their opinions and concerns about the recent transfers of two teachers: Eileen Rosenthal and Lori Volper.

"This is not the Sachem I know," said Frances Mulderic, who retired from Grundy four years ago, addressing the board and administrators.

One speaker said that Rosenthal helped organize a fundraiser for her husband and felt the transfers were, "like being ambushed by people you are supposed to have support from."
