Sachem's Ride To Albany Underway

Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for updates throughout the day.

Dozens of Sachem school activists have departed the parking lot at Seneca Middle School and are on their way to Albany to hold meeting with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle to lobby for more state aid to the district.

The rally, organized by PTA member and Sachem Legislative Committee Co-Chair Dana Platin, will attempt to persuade lawmakers to reconsider its current budget decision to withdraw $2 million in aid to Sachem compared to last year.

Throughout the day, Sachem Patch will be getting updates from the group of about 50 advocates. Follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook to check in on the group and see how they're doing.
