Ronkonkoma St. Patrick's Parade Names Grand Marshall
Suffolk County Legislator selected to lead 23rd annual parade in Ronkonkoma.
Organizers of the 23rd Annual Ronkonkoma St. Patrick's Day Parade have selected Legislator John M. Kennedy Jr. as its official Grand Marshall.
The parade, which is sponsored by St. Regis Council of the Knights of Columbus of Lake Ronkonkoma, will be held on March 10, 2013. The well-attended event is Ronkonkoma's chance to be Irish for the day, as the community upholds this tradition over the past two decades.
“It is a great honor to be selected as the Grand Marshall of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade," Leg. Kennedy Jr. stated in a release. "I invite everyone in the community to join the St. Regis Council and me in celebrating the holiday."

A self-proclaimed Irish Catholic, Kennedy Jr. is also a member of the Order of the Hibernians in Kings Park.
"I am honored to be the Grand Marshall of a Parade devoted to St. Patrick; the Patron Saint of Ireland. I urge everyone, Irish or not, to join me on March 10 for a good day,” Kennedy added.
