Ronkonkoma Overpass Protest: 'Impeach Obama'

Demonstrators met at the overpass on Hawkins Avenue with flags and signs in tow.

A handful of protesters took to the Long Island Expressway overpass at Exit 60/Hawkins Avenue to express their displeasure with President Obama yesterday afternoon.

The demonstrators posted a large banner stating "Impeach Obama," raised American flags and waved yellow flags stating "Don't Tread On Me" at the rally, which took place at around 4:30 p.m. Some motorists passing by honked their approval as they crossed over the LIE - some returning home from the Ronkonkoma LIRR station.

This is not the first overpass protest to take place at the exit. Earlier this summer a number of similar protests took place at Exit 60 and other highway bridges.
