Report: Ronkonkoma, Holbrook Overpasses Need Repairs
County will authorize the $1.6 million needed to fix the bridges, Newsday reports.
Two bridges in the Sachem-area are in line for emergency repairs after a state audit highlighted deficiencies, according to a Newsday report.
The Nicolls Road bridge over Portion Road in Ronkonkoma and the Woodside Avenue bridge over Waverly Avenue in Holbrook are both slated for $1.6 million worth of repairs, the report says.
The county will pass a resolution to fund the repairs next week. Officials told Newsday that both bridges would remain open and that there was no danger to the public.
