Photos: Local Candidates Debate at Medford FD

Assembly, State Senate, Town Supervisor and Congressional candidates speak.

Several local candidates took part in a debate hosted by the Medford Taxpayer and Civic Association held Wednesday at Medford Fire Department.

While both sides of each included race were invited, those attending were the state's third assembly district candidates; incumbent Assemblyman Dean Murray (R) and challenger Edward Hennessey (D), third senatorial candidate incumbent Sen. Lee Zeldin (R) and first congressional district candidates; incumbent Congressman Tim Bishop (D) and challenger Randy Altschuler (R) and Brookhaven Town Supervisor candidates; Edward Romaine (R) and Brian Beedenbender (D). Zeldin's opponent, challenger Frank Genco (D) did not make the debate.

Due to candidates not arriving at the same time in all but the congressional race, most candidates spoke at separate times from their opponents. This resulted in Murray speaking alone for significantly more of his Assembly debate, with Hennessy starting during the final two questions after his arrival. Zeldin, Romaine and Beedenbender all spoke without their opponent on the same stage.

Check back to Patch for more coverage from Wednesday's debate.

If anyone took a video of the debate/discussions, please post the link. Thanks.

I wonder if this was a deliberate action, but based on the photographs it seems that all of the republican party candidates were wearing American flags on their lapels while none of the democratic party candidates were.

I'm not accusing anyone of "faking it". http://www.coachoutletonlinegg.com My point is that our Pompeii - like most classical http://www.coachoutletonlineaol.net sites, in fact - is the product of collaboration between http://www.coachfactoryoutletwy.com modern rebuilders and conservators, and the original Roman builders http://www.coachoutletstorefc.com themselves, with the lion's share of the work on our side. And it's no less impressive or moving http://www.coachoutletaol.org for that - as the body casts help to show. One of http://www.coachfactoryonlineest.net the video clips played in the exhibition at the Getty Museum comes http://www.coachfactoryoutletpst.com from Roberto Rossellini's film, Voyage in Italy, in which the lead couple, http://www.coachfactoryoutlettx.com played by Ingrid Bergman and George Sanders, tour the country as their marriage http://www.coachfactoryonlinefc.org disintegrates. On their visit to Pompeii they watch the plaster being http://www.coachoutletwy.com poured into a cavity left by two of the victims. http://www.coachoutletonlineybw.com In the movie's most haunting scene, these victims emerge as a couple.
