Legislator Muratore Receives Award From Ronkonkoma Based Biz Group

The MacArthur Business Alliance named Leg. Muratore its 2012 "Go-to-Guy" at the organization's recent holiday luncheon

The MacArthur Business Alliance (MBA) bestowed Suffolk County Legislator Tom Muratore with one of its top honors: the Jerry Brewi "Go-To-Guy" award in 2012.

“I am humbled and honored to receive this award,” Muratore said in a statement. “I am grateful to be recognized by the MacArthur Business Alliance for doing something I love—serving our great community.”

The Jerry Brewi award is named after a longtime member of the MBA who was widely respected and regarded as the guy the would "go to" when a problem arose, according to MBA President Peter Novara. Brewi died several years ago, but the organization created an award each year to an individual in the community who exemplifies Brewi's service.
