Islip Town Kicks Off Street Sweeping Work

If you're seeing town trucks on Holtsville, Holbrook, Ronkonkoma and Lake Ronkonkoma streets they're likely doing street sweeping as crews kicked off the effort last week, according to Islip Town. 

Crews are expected to have reached every street in the town within four to five weeks, depending on weather.

Residents can find out when their specific streets will be scheduled by using the Islip Information Dashboard on the Town website. Just type in your address and click the “Street Sweeping” button.

Residents are asked to keep their cars off the roads during the scheduled dates to maximize the effectiveness of street sweeping operations.

Residents should be aware that any streets under County or State jurisdiction will not be swept by Town crews.
