Islip Town, Cablevision, Agree on 2-Year WiFi Extension at MacArthur

Relationship between two entities began in 2009, will continue at least until 2014.

Islip Town Supervisor Tom Croci announced that the town has extended its contract with Cablevision to provide WiFi service to travelers and employees at Long Island MacArthur Airport until 2014.

Cablevision installed the Optimum WiFi infrastructure back in 2009 and has maintained and upgraded the system at the airport at no cost to Islip Town, according to a release.

“This partnership between the Town of Islip and Cablevision has resulted in outstanding service to LIMA travelers and staff, and we’re confident that this level of service will continue in the future,” Supervisor Croci stated.
