Graf Promotes Job Programs for Veterans

Assemblyman, who served in the Navy, promotes "Experience Counts," initiative.

Assemblyman Al Graf, R,C–Holbrook, is promoting the "Experience Counts” program, a recently-enacted initiative by the governor to increase access to jobs for returning veterans.

As a former Operations Specialist Third Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy who received the Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Ribbon, Graf stressed the importance of honoring the sacrifices made by our returning veterans.

“When our brave soldiers return from combat, it is our responsibility to afford them every opportunity for a successful transition back into civilian life,” said Graf, in a statement. “The ‘Experience Counts’ program will cut the red tape for vehicle commanders and let them put their skills to use in the workforce as soon as they come home. It’s not just a common-sense job creator; it’s a common-sense way to honor our returning heroes.
