Graf: MTA Payroll Tax Deduction Increases Job Creation

Assemblyman Al Graf, R,C-Holbrook, commented Monday about the MTA Payroll Tax reduction by Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Graf has been a proponent of MTA Payroll Tax reduction, along with many other local government colleagues.

“Long Island’s schools and businesses have dealt with the crushing weight of the tax for far too long," said Graf in a statement. "With the reduction of the tax signed into law, we have paved the way for job creation on Long Island, as well as better programs and curriculum for our schoolchildren.

"I commend Governor Cuomo for his leadership in making this crucial measure a reality, and I look forward to continue working toward the full repeal of this shortsighted tax.”

Graf was joined at the event by Sen. Lee Zeldin and Assemblyman Dean Murray.
