Brookhaven Animal Shelter Closed for Hurricane Sandy

Town orders animal shelter to close until further notice.

Acting Supervisor Kathleen Walsh has announced that the Brookhaven Animal Shelter and Adoption Center is closed until further notice. The town shuttered the center as the winds and rain from Hurricane Sandy continue to approach.

Residents should call (631) 451-TOWN or visit www.brookhaven.org for news updates and weather information during the storm.
