Brookhaven Accepting Nominations for Women's Recognition Awards

Award recipients will be honored at Brookhaven Town Hall in March.

The Brookhaven Town Office of Women’s Services is seeking nominations for its 26th Annual Women’s Recognition Awards.

Community groups, businesses and individuals are being asked to nominate women they believe are deserving of special recognition for their service to the community as a professional or volunteer.

Eligible candidates must live or work in Brookhaven Town and all nominations should include a resume or equivalent document and two letters of recommendation.

The award recipients will be honored at Brookhaven Town Hall on Thursday, March 29 at 6:30 p.m.

“The Office of Women’s Services has honored so many extraordinary women over the years who have contributed their time and talent to help make a difference in the lives of people throughout the Town," said Brookhaven Supervisor Mark Lesko. "All of the nominees should be proud to be recognized for the work that they do.”

The deadline for nominations is Friday, January 20. Forms are available at Brookhaven Town Hall, online at www.brookhaven.org or by calling the Office of Women’s Services at (631) 698-2074.
