Al Graf Holds Easter Basket Drive For Needy Children

The 3rd Annual drive emphasizing the need for donations in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.

New York State Assemblyman Al Graf (R, C, I-Holbrook) is accepting donations for struggling families in the area through his 3rd Annual East Basket Drive.

The assemblyman is asking residents to donate items such as baskets, bags of candy, chocolate Easter bunnies and other, more practical items for children who might have to go without for the holiday.

 
In a release, Graf iterated the importance of this year's drive in light of the devestation brought on my Hurricane Sandy.

“Hurricane Sandy left Long Islanders with countless unforeseen expenses that are devastating their budgets, which means that local children need our help now more than ever,” stated Graf. “It is critical that we give of ourselves in this time of need so that all of Long Island’s children can enjoy a special Easter season that they will never forget.”

Residents can drop of their donations at Graf's district office from now until March 27. The district office is located at 859 Montauk Highway, Suite 1, in Bayport. For more information, residents can call the office at (631)589-8685.
