Two Men Arrested for 10 Local Burglaries

Arrested after burglarizing two homes in Holtsville, which led investigators to eight more they were allegedly involved with.

Two men have been arrested for burglaries that occurred in Holtsville, Holbrook and Medford during the past three months, according to police.

Fifth Squad detectives arrested Brian Firman and Tyler Ciervo after they burglarized two Holtsville homes on Monday, police said. 

Further investigation revealed that they were responsible for at least eight additional daytime burglaries of homes since September, police said.

According to police, the two obtained jewelry, computers, televisions and other electronics from the residences. 

Firman, 20, of Bay Shore and Ciervo, 19, of Holtsville, were charged with 10 counts of second-degree burglary.

Firman and Ciervo both pled not guilty at their arraignments on Tuesday at First District Court in Central Islip; their bails were set for $70,000 and $65,000 respectively.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
