Third Person Arrested in Fight That Killed Julian Pena

Leonardo Lehman, of Holtsville, is charged with second degree gang assault, police say.

A 20-year-old Holtsville man has been arrested and charged with gang assault stemming from a fight last month that ended in the death of a Navy veteran from Holbrook, police said.

Leonardo Lehman is the third person to be charged in connection with the incident outside of Momo's Bar & Grill early on the morning of Sept. 26.

Robert Gregory, 19, of Farmingville, is charged with second degree murder after police say he stabbed Julian Pena during the fight. Rueben Rosario, 28, of Selden, is also charged with second degree gang assault.

According to court files, a grand jury indicted Lehman on the gang assault charge earlier this month. Lehman was arrested on a warrant Thursday. He will be arraigned at a later date. He is currently being held on $400,000 bail.

A police spokeswoman told Patch that a charge of gang assault does not mean the person has ties to an actual gang. Under state penal law, someone is guilty of gang assault when they cause physical injury to another person when aided by two or more other people in the attack.
